Well it is starting

Well, it is starting.  By this I mean signing all the checks or credit card receipts. On November 11th the vet was here to pull a Coggins (just got it back) on Dawna Lisa and give her a booster shoots of Flu-Rhino and EWT.  I think that this might be the cheapest check/charge at a mere $118.
Sunday I was off to Dover Saddlery in Plaistow, NH.  It is in the same location as the old State Line Tack that was always one of my favorite places to spend time and blow a great deal of money.  Actually, I was a very good girl and didn’t spend a small fortune.  I got Dawna Lisa a green wool cooler and a green WeatherBeeta medium weight turnout/stable blanket.  Can you tell my stable colors are green?
I was smart and brought the only sheet this mare has every mildly like being in, a 74” with front gussets.  Dawna Lisa hates blankets and sheets.  She has always been ‘Nature Girl’ turned out during the day rain, sleet or snow with nothing on other than her furry coat.  She has always had great distain for covering up.  As a yearling, she ripped to shreds a very expensive turnout sheet on the first outing.  It was kind of like SHE was telling me something <VBG>.
Off to do the barn.  Yes, the bag of carrots is coming with me.  I am getting bad about making sure I give DL plenty of treat JUST in case she might ‘forget’ me.  I am trying to be optimistic about riding in the next few days.  The weatherman is NOT.

Your pictures of a fuzzy DL climbing in the trailer, snow on the ground, would make a splendid additions here. Then post pictures of a clipped DL in Florida.

Call it "Makeover Welsh Cob style."

Here is a link to Megan Benghe's blog entry on the World Driving Championships. Lots of driving Cob pics too - not just Bouncer.
